Costa Rica Triple Play

Arrival in San Jose.
Day 1. Arrival in Costa Rica. Upon your arrival we will be meeting you at the airport. A nice introduction to the country and your trip on the way to your hotel.

Tortuguero, 2 nights
Day 2. From San Jose to Tortuguero. You will be picked up at your hotel to take you by bus and later by boat to Tortuguero area. In the morning you will be driving through the Braulio Carrillo National Park**(1), witness of Hollywood's "Jurassic Park" and "Gorillas in the Mist". After a late lunch at Pachira Lodge, visit t the town of Tortuguero. (B, L, D)
Day 3. In Tortuguero. Slow moving rivers are the roads in Tortuguero. This day explore Tortuguero National Park **(2) by boat. Your guide will interpret the intricate relationships among the natural components of the tropical rainforest. (B, L, D)

San Gerardo de DOTA, 2 nights.
Day 4. local fly out of Tortuguero / Irazu Volcano / highland forest.. Fly out Tortuguero early in the morning. Enjoy breakfast on the way to the Irazu Volcano National Park**(8), the tallest in our country at almost 12000ft. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the cultivated land in the area of Cartago, our former capital. After lunch continue to San Gerardo de Dota at a beautiful mountain lodge. (B, L, D)
Day 5. Birdwatching in the highland cloud forest. Explore with your guide the mountainous forest in search of the resplendent quetzal and other beautiful highland birds. In the afternoon go for a nice horse back ride to the waterfall. (B, L, D)

Manuel Antonio area, 2 nights.
Day 6. From San Gerardo DOTA to Manuel Antonio. Move on today to enjoy the beautiful Pacific beaches. On the way you will pass by the city of San Isidro del General, beautiful landscapes as you go down the mountain towards the beach. (B)
Day 7. Guided hike in Manuel Antonio National Park / beach time. Enjoy the morning on a guided tour in Manuel Antonio National Park. Free afternoon to enjoy at your leisure. (B)

From Manuel Antonio to San Jose.
Day 8. On the way to San Jose today you will enjoy the beautiful landscapes contrasting from the beach to the mountains into central valley. You might want to take advantage of last shopping chances. (B)

Departure.
Day 9. Airport shuttle transport services for your departing flight. (B)

This trip includes:
Transport: To/from airport transfers. All ground transportation as indicated, one way local flight from Tortuguero.
Lodging based on double occupancy:
